I stumbled across this park by accident as I walked from pier to pier this past weekend.
Hudson River Park is the second largest park in the city and spans across several neighborhoods in lower Manhattan. It’s also the longest waterfront park in the country.
On this particular day I was there for the view but people took advantage of the day jogging, cycling, and tanning on many of the huge lawns. Many of the areas are dog free and bike free, great for the slow pedestrian like me.
There’s a lot to do. I saw a carousel, people kayaking, and a skatepark. I’m sure there’s more but I didn’t see it all.
The park is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
