The first time I saw the promenade was at night. It was a short walk from beginning to end but the image of the skyline from the city, the illuminated Statue of Liberty in the distance, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the East River is something I will never forget. It’s one of my favorite places in Brooklyn.
During the day you will see families, joggers, and tourists either walking, chilling on one of the park benches, or taking pics with cameras or phones of that famous skyline.
At night, it’s a different story. There’s still that skyline but it’s all lit up. Less people. People are strolling or sitting but you see more couples quietly chatting, holding hands, and kissing. It’s a very pretty place for an inexpensive but intimate date.
A daytime visit is fun but at night it’s magic.
